Porcelain Sea Coral Shells Sculpturing Workshop with Helen Simmons

Learn how to hand build ocean coral shells out of porcelain clay. We will have some basic shapes created and you learn how to carve, pinch, cut out, add and shape these wonderful sea shells. Once fired you can use them as feature objects in your fish aquarium, decorating pieces in your home or hang them up free flowing. Make one larger one, or maybe a few small delicate ones.

Helen Simmons is a known clay sculpture artist and has regular exhibitions locally.

Originally from Britain, she always loved nature and feels inspired by the variety of shells and forms in the ocean. She is a very experimental ceramic artist who practices slow mindful clay techniques using different approaches and loves to show her techniques to others.

Price per person is $ 120 / maximum 8 spots available

Includes 2 kg of porcelain clay per person, workshop and all firings. We fire your work and it can be picked up around 2 weeks after the workshop.

Please bring an old towel, wear comfy old clothes and closed shoes. We have water, tea and coffee in the studio.
